EUF ECO-award 2025

The EUF-ECO working group selected 3 nominated projects for the award ceremony, from which the 'Oosterschelde above the water' submitted by the NOB was selected as the winning project. 

A very simple project in which a number of animals and plants are fished out of the Oosterschelde and presented to the public in aquariums. A number of NOB employees act as animator-guides. 

The project was chosen for its simplicity and the intention to introduce children and adults to the underwater world of the Eastern Scheldt, but also to highlight the necessary protection of this biotope. NOB introduced the project and John Geurts – EUF-ECO Project manager was very honored to present that Award and the accompanying 'Cheque' to Carla van Westing, the supervisor of that NOB project.
